The Mopar headers are also a tri-Y design which is supposed to boost bottom
end torque as well... the only advantage to the shorty design is that they
are pretty much bolt-in (they use the same headpipes as the stock
manifolds)... which is also a disadvantage.. the stock headpipes look a
little restrictive.
Mopar does not make these headers, they are made by Doug Thorley... Mopar
Performance tests & makes decisions about what to sell based on what's
available on the market, then gets contracts with the products they like...
If Mopar Performance sells it, you know it's made an improvement on SOME
vehicle...
