Weird.... My NV3500 sounded like an old manual geared
school bus...when new, and has gotten a lot quieter over
the last 100,000 miles. I have rear end/trans noise now...
but nothing I wouldn't expect after the use/abuse my truck's
put through.

Are these being rebuilt? or replaced? If rebuilt (at least the
first one) I'd suspect a bad rebuild (and an unfortunate 'brake'
with the original trans.)
