Yeah, I thought it was a pretty straightforward job.

Tools and Supplies

1 Trans filter - Mopar $15
4-5 Quarts Quaker State ATF+3 - I think they were actually $2 a quart now..=(
1 Gasket - any auto parts store $5

Don't remember the wrench size...1/2 maybe...or 9/16
and a Torx bit in the 15 - 25 range (for the filter) can't remember that
either =(

The hardest part of the whole thing was working around the #$%^#$
y-pipe!!!! That was a bitch cause it was REALLY close to the front side of
the pan. It was easier for me once I disconnected the y-pipe. This was
the same day I took off the JBA's. Other than that it's pretty easy.
Unbolt the pan, being careful to SPILL the fluid everywhere like I did. I
was careful and it was still a mess. Drop the filter (more fluid comes
out...woohoo!). Then spend an hour manually cleaning the gasket off the
pan (wish I had a dremel tool or something). I cleaned the pan out with
brake cleaner. Don't be too upset about having aluminum pieces all over
the filter, it's normal from what I understand.

Then just bolt it back together, and if you're lucky like me, you'll spill
fluid all over the y-pipe and your truck will stink after you start it up
=). I bought 5 quarts of tranny fluid and only used 4, but buy an extra
one just in case.

I torqued the pan to 20 ft/lbs(in a cross pattern - like you do to the
wheels), and tightend the gasket til it was fairly tight. I tried to
tighten it to about the same as it was before I took it off.

That should cover it. No special tools except the torx bit. Anything
else, or if you think I left something out, just ask.=)

Hope that helps!!

Brian
