        One of the mechanics at the dealership has a 318 5spd Dak. He said he
turned the distributor to bump up the injector timing. Said it ran a lot
harder but the mileage went way down. I wasn't going to mess with that
for the reasons you mentioned. However, could there be a safe margin for
advancing the inj timing while say, at the track? Make an original mark
for "stock" and an advanced mark for "off road"? Alan S.
