Are you using the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs?? If so what year
Kota/displacement do you have? I picked up a set of the +4's today and the
guy behind the counter seemed a little shaky as far as selecting the right
application for a '98 318 (A lot of scratching of his head and saying
hmmmmmm, hmmmmm!). He assured me they were correct, but I want to make
sure... The Bosch order number is 4418. It also has 0 242 229 620-05P
under the order number but I think that is the lot #.

I replaced my plugs about 2 months ago. Of the eight plugs, I snapped the
tops off 6. No big deal...just removed the ceramic tip from the socket was
then able to get the rest of the plug out. One thing I would suggest is to
buy a can of compressed air from a computer store and blow the dirt away from
the plug hole before you take them out. Hope this helps.
