RE: Wimpy stock coil(HELP!)

If I glance back to my day.... The coil is about what it sounds like, a
coil of wires. The terms primary and secondary are most likely
referring to the set of wires making up the entire coil. You kinda take
a wire wrap it around making a small ball of wire, ever see a picture in
a magazine before???? Or better yet, ever race little cars as a kid????
The little electromagnet in the race cars is a simple picture of why you
would wrap a wire around and around in a circle. The number of turns is
related the output you receive. A pretty simple explanation to primary
and secondary. The more wire, and thicker the different resistance you
will have, oh and the type of wire as well.... Looks to me you would
just reference the year of your vehicle to find out which coil you
have/need. Anyone else out there want to shape my comments up to make
them sensible???? Other than that I feel those are your basics, enough
to make you dangerous, hahahahaha..... Don't remember the math, but you
can try Radio Hack and find an electronics book with pretty pictures.

I dont remember exactly, but if I remember right from
electronics school,
you divide the secondary by the primary and you get the voltage
increase. I
think you muliply this by the input voltage to get its total
output. I
think? I am not sure what the input voltage is exactly.
