Yeah....Maybe I need to start chasing prices on slicks or something....
I don't want to blow my street tires having fun.... I figure with AAA,
I could use my spare + one for the slicks or something.....

Yes,
Congrats on the good times! my track must be made of teflon or
something
(last time out best 60ft was 2.56 with massive wheel spin). Be
aware that
the big TB will give you a more "punchy" bottom end and more
potential wheel
spin...makes the launch a bit more challenging to figure out!...

Congrats on the times. From looking at your mods, I would
suggest getting
headers, preferably with a nice big Y-pipe. The B&F throttle
body will get a
lot more air into your engine that needs to get out and your
exhaust
manifold will be too restrictive. In my case, the Mopar headers,
Jet II,
Home-Made K&N Cold Air Intake, Twin DynoMax Super Turbos, and a
home bored
and polished Throttle body put me at 14.9 with a 2.18 60 ft
time.
Good luck with your truck.

Hot damn, first night at the track. Quick truck profile :
'99 Solar Yellow R/T-love the sound system...hehehehe
14" K&N open air filter, yep I fit the big 14x3 in there no
problems.
180 Heavy Duty Stat to keep 'er kool...FL is a hot humid ass
state, but
still better than TX, hahahahaha......
Installed a MagnaFlow (no I didn't mess up, it's MagnaFlow, not
Flowmaster) cat back exhaust, dual 2.5 pipes not single w/ 3
something
inch chrome tips.
had close to 1700 miles when I showed up at 6:30....
Track conditions....Not very humid, about upper 70s fell to
about 65 by
10 p.m. Looks like they resurfaced the track, it was nice....
Myself and my Cobra buddy from work took our female others
out....
My R/T
R/T .883
60' 2.180
330 6.330
1/8 9.789 - and I can see him passing me....shit
MPH 70.16
¼ 15.406 @ 87.46
His '95 Stock+K&N+NKG Plugs Cobra 5 speed
R/T .560
60' 2.390
331 6.439
1/8 9.854
MPH 72.46
¼ 15.177 @ 92.28
Not a complete laugh in the face....His wife in her '95 Cobra
ran
against me first. I pulled a 15.45 my first ever run and she
only
pulled 15.3?? something... I felt pretty good running against
them, and
found the automatic to keep me consistent. I may dream of a
manual
trans again, but the auto sure kept 'er on the money each
time..... I
found my times only varied in the R/T category.... The 60' were
all sub
2.3, not bad.... If they ever figure out how to nail a sub 2.3
60', I'm
smoked.....currently I'm just a bit burnt...hahahahaha....
Gee, can't wait to see how the B&F Stage II TB
helps....hint...hint.....
I have about two weeks to find away to improve that 1/8 time and
¼ MPH.
Each run I could take the cobras on the line, but at the 1/8 I
had to
watch them pass me. I didn't watch them leave me, just pass
me....big
difference, hahahaha.... I think the drag began to kill me
after the
1/8, not sure though.... Ran with the tail gate up and down....
I can
run the same times either way.... Tail gate theory w/ Tonneau,
a big ha
ha wash of a thought....
Anyone in Dak land have tips for getting this current R/T in the
14s....hopefully in the 13s.....?????? Saw a '98 stock Vette
run 13.5,
not bad....
