Yes, airbags are available. Average cost is $275 per axle if you can
find a local retailer. My price is $225 plus shipping if you'd like to
contact me off the DML. You can adjust the front separate from the rear
and each bag independently of the others with the correct adjusting
kit. You can also buy onboard compressors and airtanks.
Reliable?-95% of the tractor trailers you see on the road have airbags
on the rear trailer. Ambulances also have them. Lincoln's have an
optional suspension that includes front and rear airbags....Airbags are
all over, just got to know where to look!
Firestone sells 55% of the airbags used in the USA per year.
