I don't know where Hollywood park is right now. I'm fairly new to the area.
Tommorrow I'll give the contact a call and find out. Here's what the Solo
II hotline said:

Saturday 20th: Practice day, registration till 9:30, limit 80 drivers or
9:30 whichever is first. Tech starts at 7:30. Groups to be assigned that
day, 35 minute sessions, fun runs after groups till 5:30. Cost $25

Sunday 21st: Championship day, Tech starts at 7:30, tech before
registering. Course walking starts at 7:30-8:45. 8 groups divided by
classes. You are expected to course work for one group (they assign them)
if you race. The cost for this day is also $25. Call Brian Chumbalowski(?)
310-379-5960 with more questions.

Being a novice, if you compete on sunday, you get to run in a novice class,
all the better to win. How is your topper mounted? I suggest removing it
for the race. Also remove anything extra inside your truck. You don't want
stuff rolling around getting stuck under your brake or gas pedal and
generally making a nuisance of itself. They usually have loaner helmets
available, but if you have your own which is either M95 or SA95 rated is the
best. If you don't have one, borrow one. It's a lot easier than using a
loaner at the event. BTW you must wear a helmet.
