So I hear this correct....The mighty Magnum really has been choked to
death. So those ponies from the day are still in the block, and a few
dollars and time will open the gates???? Kool, thanks....

Nope, they'd say if it was a supercharger...

Heck yeah. You'll be able to hit 300hp nooooo problem. You
won't even
have to go into the engine. If you were to mess with the
intake, heads
and cam, you could be knocking on 400hp naturally aspirated
without much
trouble. Just a matter of picking the right components.

If you believe the formulas for computing HP from ET and trap
speed,
my little 318 is around the 300-310 mark right now with only a
MP PCM,
        MSD 8.5mm wires, 180 degree t-stat, 14x3" open element K&N
w/X-stream lid,
ram-air hood, ported & polished TB, JBA headers, ATR 2.5"->3" Y
pipe, no cat,
3" pipe all all the way back through a 3" Gibson, and a power
steering bypass
belt. Once I do the intake, heads, cam, and valvetrain I'll be
dissapointed
if I'm not at or beyond 400hp.

Damn the

I think that if you use the MP cam and have it installed by a
dodge
dealer, your warranty will still be OK. Some people have found
the
MP cam too tame for their liking though. (And others are quite
impressed
with it.) I haven't done any of this yet so I'm not much help
there.
