I've got a 95 sport 4x4 reg.cab, and mine has the same bare green metal
behind the bench seat (never really noticed til you said something). I
would have to say that putting carpet on it would be the best way to go.
It may take a little extra time since it isn't completly flat, but it'll
give it the best look. Good luck!
