Can't use shackles on 97+ Dakotas. Today I ordered a set of AIM 2" springs and 3" pinion angle corrected blocks. I plan to order a set of Ground Force shocks tomorrow. Thanks for all the help guys!
Mark
P.S. I eventually plan to order rear leafs and the sway bar kit from Hotchkiss.

I think a combo out back would be better than 3" blocks, maybe 2" shackles and 1" blocks, or something like that. I've heard not to go more than 2" w/ blocks. DO NOT get cheap blocks, blocks are cheap enough, get good ones. I have Bell Tech, 40,000 miles and counting, no cracks or anything evil like that.

The stock shocks should be fine, except the ride might be a bit rough, like a dump truck. Replacing the shocks with drop-shocks would be a wise investment in my opinion. Don't forget to replace or cut the snubbers... Vladimir "FASRAM"

I am getting ready to order some AIM 2" drop springs and Summit 3" drop blocks tomorrow. The question I have is do I need to get new shocks on my 99' Dakota, or will the stock shocks work? I would appreciate any help on this subject. Markhttp://home.att.net/~flyboy01
