The stock shocks should be fine, except the ride might be a bit rough, like
a dump truck. Replacing the shocks with drop-shocks would be a wise
investment in my opinion. Don't forget to replace or cut the snubbers...

Subject: DML: Do I need new shocks for drop?
I am getting ready to order some AIM 2" drop springs and Summit 3" drop
blocks tomorrow. The question I have is do I need to get new shocks on my
99' Dakota, or will the stock shocks work? I would appreciate any help on
this subject.
