where are measuring the temp from? If you are taking a reading from the
rad the coolant has already had a chance to cool and give you an
inaccurate reading. Secondly the temp sending unit should be in the
cylinder head and you could have a circulation problem,check the water
pump.The coolant enters the engine via the lower rad hose to the
water pump then thru the block up to the head and back to the rad thru
the thermostat.
If the water pump is weak the coolant does not circulate properly and
the vehicle will run hot. Also Shaun H. had an excellent sugestion,a
lean mixture runs hot
