Key word in my post was RATED.. New Venture guarantees the NV3500 in
applications rated for xxx Lbs Ft of torque (transmissions don't have
calculators, so they don't know about horsepower)... apparently the 5.9L is
above this number, or they would not have a problem running the NV3500
behind the 5.9L... they don't have a problem running the NV4500 behind the
5.9L (or the V10, or the Cummins)... what I don't understand is why they
have a problem running the NV4500 in the Dak or 1500 ram.... probably some
other lawyer's idea...
This is not reality of what EITHER transmission can take... it's bean
counter and lawyer negotiated stuff...
just my 2 copper/zinc disks worth..
