Ryan,
It won't hurt anything.  Just don't forget to switch it back depending upon
how picky they are on inspections in your area.  I'm doing this with mine.

I'm thinking of putting a valve cover breather on my R/T instead of that
nasty emissions hose.
Has anyone done this?  Any thoughts on drawbacks etc.  Will it hurt
anything?  I wouldn't think so but I'd rather be sure than broken down next
to a Ferd : )!!!
