Howdy DML, I am the guy with the '89 that won't run right! I want
one more try before I dish out the bucks and go to the dealer. So, here
goes...

Symptoms: Poor Fuel Economy, Hard Start Ups(Especially when cold),
Surging, Poor Engine Performance, Hesitation, Stalling, etc.

Already checked: Throttle Position Sensor, Coolant Temp Sensor,
Distributer Cap, and most of the electrical stuff in the engine.

Other stuff: When I unplug the battery-the truck drives fine for
a few miles and then problems start up again. Now, when I start it up,
it won't even turn over for a while-but when it finally does, it starts
right up.

Could it be the computer? Whats a cheap, easy way to test the
comp?

I really appreciate all of your help. Thank you, Corey Meyer

P.S. I plan to buy a new truck once I can sell this one-
I want a black 4x4 club cab Dakota with the SLT plus package and
the old 5.2L engine-stick if possible.
