Get down here bwah~!! We got lotsa yankee snowbirds who eventually tire
of the white s*&% and scraping ice. I hired a guy who was 48 years old
and lived in Ohi-yo all his life except the last two here. I asked him if
he was ok with the change in climate. He said, "Hell, yeah. You don't
have to shovel heat!" It hasn't snowed here since 1983. Even then it was
a "dusting." You never scrape windshields here. In this part of Texas, it
hardly ever rains. I use a California Duster more than anything.
Really sorry to hear about the event. I lived in Knoxville, TN (near the
Smokey Mts), Memphis, TN and Little Rock, AR. HAted the snow and ice and
sleet and frozen precipitation and what not. Never went in a ditch, but
did have those long, white knuckle trips home.
Sure do hope the Dak's all right. Glad to hear you're OK. Keep us posted.
Richard in San Antonio (79 degrees yesterday, same predicted for today.
Come on down.)
