Charles,
Just keep a few things in mind.
1) Remove the air filter assembly
2) Use compressed air to blow out dirt/crap that gets stuck between
the plug and heat sheild (remove plug wires first)
3) Use anti-seize compound on the plug threads
4) Use plenty of dielectric grease on both ends of the plug wire
As far as wires go, I use 8.5's because they don't cost as much, but
it seems that Magnecore's are they way to go if you don't mind
spending the extra $20 for them. As for plugs, I took out my
shitefires and put in a set of colder range Champion Copper Plus (she
was pinging on 100 octane). Remember to get a BRASS cap and rotor
set. Find the #1 pin on the distributor (marked with a raised notch
beside the fin) then follow the firing order to put the wires on.
It's a real simple job, just take your time and pay attention to how
things come off. Especially make sure that the wires follow to the
corresponding cyl/dist position.. You'll know it if you're off :)
