While the offsets are the same in the above example,
the inner rim lip for the 17x9 will be 1" closer to the
truck than the rim lip for the 15x7. This is because
of the wider rim width. Similarly, the 17x9 outer rim
lip will be 1" further out than the 15x7 outer rim lip.
It would appear, from past DML posts, that having the front
inner rim lip of the 17X9 closer to the truck has caused
no clearance problems...can not personally vouch for this.
Also, 4x2 Daks have a different front suspension type than
4x4 Dakotas.
