I have toyed with the 1.7 roller rocker idea. I guess I am just working
up the nerve to do it. Although I do see a huge gain coming from the
rockers alone. I want headers, but the ML/Mopars are a bit high for a
one month run time frame. What would be involved in changing the
rockers???? Would it be just the rockers, or would I need springs and
stuff??? I have also tried to learn more about the way the air runs
from the TB into the engine. I believe this is the upper intake
manifold???? I have also thought about a longer duration CAM Shaft to
go with the rockers.... I know I am on the B&F Stage II list, so I have
something their in the next few months, I hope.... I would love to see
a B&F Stage II TB, new upper intake manifold, and headers on the R/T.
It may not see 100 ponies, but it should see a few, right???

Jason,
true. where though?
How about: 1.7 roller rockers... on the OBDII trucks are
supposed to work
better than the R/T camshaft...
MPI manifold might help too, only whos got the #s to prove it?
(or the
manifold for that matter) someone out there has a modified
crate
manifold...
head porting... major engine disassembly...
Not sure if those 100 hp are hiding in the above components,
probably not...

All this guy has done to his stock R/T is a 150 shot of NX????
He runs
13.5s on street tires, no mods, and only a 150 NX boost?????
That is
damn good and just goes to show what the truck will run with the
right
pony count under the hood. So I guess if I can find an extra
100 ponies
or so under the hood. I should be good for upper 13s then?????

The fastest Dakota R/T I have heard of is this guy:

the R/T list a while back)

Hopefully this will work: this again is the fastest R/T
I know
of and it was
done with nitrous:

I bought the nx kit for my R/T and used the 75hp jets
and had no
problems.
Then I stepped it up to the 150hp jets and ran even
better. The
kit works
great on the truck and I was able to post 13.5's at the
track on
the street
tires. I just added a fuel pressure gauge and that's
it. Best
money I've
spent. There are no other mods on the truck only the
kit.
