RE: Question on going faster

MMMMMMMM.... Mopar Performance SBEC....

Then mods will actually perform to their full potential. OBDII will stop
"adjusting" your truck's timing, fuel flow, etc... to cancel out your
performance mods! ;^)

Alas, it is still just a myth... perhaps someday, young grasshopper, you
too will get the key to unlocking the performance capabilities of your
engine! Remember when things were easier, before computers controlled
everything?

Has anyone tried the 1.7's with the R/T camshaft? Or a more radical camshaft
for that matter?

Bruce/Frank: I'll be real interested to see how your ported intake manfold
performs in conjunction with the ported TB... but I don't think we'll find
all of Jason's required 100 ponies there!!! :^) Still, I wonder how they'll
go with increase "breathe in" capabilities... and how this affects the
associated "breathe out" modifications, low end torque and the like...

Pray for SBEC, grasshopper, pray for SBEC!!!

Jason,
true. where though?
How about: 1.7 roller rockers... on the OBDII trucks are supposed to work
better than the R/T camshaft...
MPI manifold might help too, only whos got the #s to prove it? (or the
manifold for that matter) someone out there has a modified crate
manifold...
head porting... major engine disassembly...
Not sure if those 100 hp are hiding in the above components, probably not...

All this guy has done to his stock R/T is a 150 shot of NX???? He runs
13.5s on street tires, no mods, and only a 150 NX boost????? That is
damn good and just goes to show what the truck will run with the right
pony count under the hood. So I guess if I can find an extra 100 ponies
or so under the hood. I should be good for upper 13s then?????

(that I know of)
The fastest Dakota R/T I have heard of is this guy: (copied

Hopefully this will work: this again is the fastest R/T I know
of and it was
        done with nitrous:
                                                        (copied from an
old post)
I bought the nx kit for my R/T and used the 75hp jets and had no
problems.
Then I stepped it up to the 150hp jets and ran even better. The
kit works
great on the truck and I was able to post 13.5's at the track on
the street
tires. I just added a fuel pressure gauge and that's it. Best
money I've
spent. There are no other mods on the truck only the kit.
