I put the MSD 6A and Blaster 3 Coil on my 95 and have nothing but good things
to say about it. The truck starts easier, runs alot smoother, gets 1-1.5 MPG's
better, and has noticably better top end power. However, a friend of mine has
a 98 and we put the same system on his. He did get about a 1 MPG improvement,
and his starting improved just like mine did, but he couldn't tell any power
diffirence and said he thought he might have even lost a little low end, but
he wasn't sure about that. Overall, he says he's happy with it. His truck
recently ran a 14.91@91.8 mph at the track, so it couldn't have hurt it too
bad. It seems like alot of people with the OBD II controlled trucks don't get
the improvements in power that some of the pre-OBD II guys get. Go Figure.
