In the Jan 98 issue of truckin' they installed Crower 1.7's (pn 73656K) in a
97 dak 5.2 with the original valve covers. I'll quote them "Next you'll have
to modify the oil baffles on the inside of the valve cover in order to clear
the new roller rockers. Using a ball peen hammer, the crest of the oil baffle
is hammered down approximately 1/4 inch." In the picture, you can see a sheet
metal baffle that runs the lenght of the cover. It used to be v-shaped and
they sort of flattened it. This mod added 10.6 hp and 6.3 lb.ft.of torque.
It seems a simple enough thing to do.
