Watch it! I made my first real road trip yesterday since doing the MSD
wires and champion truck plugs. WOW. I can't believe I got 17.9 mpg
going 77 mpg most of the time in my 4x4. Usually I could only get over
17 if I kept it around 55. Best part is that I still haven't gotten
the
MSD fixed and don't have it on yet. Worse, I left the plugs at .060
and
it has a slight ping under load. If it's going to be much longer on
the
MSD I need to cut that gap down for safety's sake.

What MSD wires are you running? I have MSD's 8.5 Super Conductors on my
Dak
and simply LOVE them; these are made with great quality. I also run
Champion
Truck Plugs, but these are gapped at .035. I also have an Accel Super
Coil and
brass cap and rotor. Just curious, but what is the MSD thing you need to
get
fixed? Is it an ignition box, like 6A, 6AL type???
How do you like this unit? I want one, just need more opinions and input
on
it.

-- I love the wires too. When I put them on I took my Fluke meter and checked the resistance compared to stock wires. The longest MSD wire had about 110 ohms and the stock wire had over 10,000 ohms of resistance!!!! I need to get the MSD 6AL that was in my BB Regal fixed. We had a billet MSD distributor on the 455, so we used the magnetic pickup on the MSD. To work in the Dakota it needs to use the white trigger wire. Apparently I somehow fried it, it went bad sitting in the car in an enclosed trailer for 1 year, or the white wire was defective from the get go. I need to call MSD to find out an estimate of repair.Drew Schofield Visit my web page at http://www.angelfire.com/tn/page4drew
