99 RT near miss

Last night after leaving work 11:30 pm (out in the middle of nowhere) I
started on my drive home.
I had just gotten up to 65 and set cruise control. Then I saw something BIG
laying in the middle of the lane. I slammed on the brakes (thank you
anti-lock) and steered around it (dead sheep) Then another dead sheep. I
didn't hit them but the eighteen wheeler who was not there had run through a
flock and there were a minimum of 15 sheep and parts scattered all over the
road for a ¼ of a mile. I had to drive off road to avoid all the blood and
guts. I was pretty shook up the rest of the way home. It took 5 beers to
calm down.
If I wasn't paying attention the RT could have been wiped out. (with only
700 miles on truck) Even though it's red I still don't like blood stripes.
They are letting them roam the area to eat the grass for the next couple of
weeks.
Good thing today is last day at work for 7 days off.
