Got my dak back today and she's running smooth. The mechanic said it
had 3/4" play in it. Replaced it with NAPA parts--hopefully last longer
than the original. If anybody is curious, here's the parts list he has
on the work order:
1 timing chain and gear set......$71.13
1 timing gasket set......$19.08
4 hose clamps.....$3.00(probably optional)
1/2 gallon of antifreeze....$3.98
My total, with labor and tax was $325.30. Well worth it to me if it
stays running like it is.

Now---time for that AAR R/T hood!
