hhmmmm... good point... I'm basing my theory on the 1/4 mile rule, which
reads "If I have accelerated to a speed above that of my 1/4 mile trap
speed, and I am still ahead, I win and therefor shut down." So, if my trap
speed is 80mph and I spank a Ranger up to 85, it is safe to shut down
and say I got the spank, because I would've spanked him at the track
anyway. Now, if racing a sportscar, there is a different set of rules that
apply to function of vehicle and stuff.... =)

hehehe

I would say that it depends. If your still hard on the gas and racing, you
loose. If you let up at 75 (probably past most speed limits anyway) you
win since you had him until you shut it down. Probably would help any
argument anyway since he can't say he beat you if you had him until you
let
off the gas.
