I'm crusining around last night, showing off the new decals and shiny
paint, when at a light I hear a motor rev a few times at like 5 grand.
I look over to my right and there's a couple of kids in a late model
Z28 convertible 6 spd. I'm talking to my g/f at the time on the phone,
but he proceeds to rev it up again and ask me if I want to race. His
buddy tells me that his friend has got a red CC. I know the
truck...and that is a separate story in itself (he's getting 8.9L
badges made for it, just to give you a clue as to what he thinks of
his truck). I more or less decline, as my g/f is getting a little po'd
that I'm not talking to her. As well, I don't think I'd have much of a
chance. But, after hearing about Jacks MR2 spank, maybe I would.
Probably not though. 25 more hp, 800 lbs less weight.....doesn't look
good. I admit to "hunting" when cruising around, but can never find a
comparable opponent. Ohhh, well.
