<< 2 HOURS???? What are they F***ing nuts???? How long does it take to move
wires? If its like my 96, the factory wires need to be moved!! Most likely
the alarm was run right with the stock wiring harness. None of the stock
 harness needed to be disconnected.

Heres my take on it (seeing as I work at a dealer. not saying I have done
this though!!! he he!!): if its a flat rate shop, the warranty time probably
doesnt pay enough to cover the technicians labor. Basically, warranty pays
(for ease of understanding) 4 hours for a certain job, but it takes the
technician 6 hours to do it. He only gets paid 4 hours. By saying he needs
2 hours labor to move alarm wires, he is making his time back, possibly
getting more then he actually spent on the vehicle. Some jobs that are extra
hard, frustrating, or time consuming will warrant this added labor, to keep
the tech from bitching when he doesnt get a 40 hour paycheck!!! Youd be
surprised how much time flat rate technicians REALLY spend on some of the
customer pay (non warranty) jobs. I've made over 18 hours pay in an 8 hour
period. Its not illegal. If the book says a job pays 2 hours, thats what
the tech gets paid, whether it takes him 4 hours, or 10 minutes.
