Yes, too little backpressure does hinder performance, but they are not set
to a predetermined range. That's why we have computers in the first
place...to tune the engine performance to the environment.
Gibson, Borla, Flowmaster, and DynoMax should have "Tuned" exhaust systems
for your truck.
