<< Cool. That's exactly what I had in mind --slip the pin through the loop

tug away if I ever got stuck (I'm doomed now :-). I thought I saw a mount
that
slipped in the receiver that was actually just a tow hook mounted to a
tongue
but I haven't been able to find one in a store... Must have been a custom
weld
job, I guess.

For rear recovery, I have a solid, yes solid, 2" square steel stock with goes
into my hitch and has a nice 4-5" diameter loop at the end, rated at
something like 35,000 pounds. This thing weighs about 10 pounds, and I have
used it for 5+ years yanking over 3 dozen trucks out without a problem to my
hitch or to the 'tow bar'. I did replace the Grade 5 bolts which came with
the hitch to Grade 8's.
