I can think of one venue where the 4 would maybe compete with the V8. Add a
supercharger to the 4-cyl. to get the power up, and you will have constant
power at high elevations (like in Colorado). Now, a lightweight blown
4-banger could outhandle the V8 on those mountain twisties, all else being
equal. I would suspect that, on average, the blown 4 would get about the
same mpg as the V8.
Any thoughts???
