Electric fan advice

Daks,

I have tried and tried to get the big nut off for the stock fan on my 99.
The manual and hints from here does not work for me, or I can just not see
it. I have followed the instructions of a couple of you on here and am
coming to the conclusion that the 99 has changed from the earlier ones. I
measured the radiator area of my 99 and have 22 & 1/2 " across or width and
about 24" down or height. Or as the right way to state, 24" X 22&1/2" X
thickness that does not matter. There is no way the 2 fan unit from
Flex-a-lite will work, tho that is what they recommended. I have it sitting
next to me, and now will have to send it back. It is 15&1/2" X 27" X
2&1/4". Suits me right not measuring before I ordered the darn thing. Looks
like the Black Magic is the right one, tho I am going to correspond with
Flex-a-lite again. Summit shows a Black Magic fan, then one for a Toyota
and then a different model for the 87-97 Jeep Wrangler. I wonder if this
one is really close to the Dakota or go with the plain one, the Jeep one is
20 bucks more.
Maybe I am just plain dumb or something. Any ideas on either of the above
problems, please let me know, especially if you have a 99 and have done
this already.
