In Pennsylvania, it is illegal to have tint on the front windows, no
matter what %. I have had tint on every vehicle I have owned, except
for my soft top jeep. I have been pulled over 3 times for tint, once
when I was 16, I had tint on my Monte Carlo and had to pay a $75 fine,
that was 8 years ago. I also got pulled over for it on my toyota
truck twice but the first time the cop made me pull it off or get a
ticket. This made it much more unsafe to drive because of the glue on
the window, it was really hard to see on the way home. The second
time, the cop gave me a warning and I had 7 days to take my truck to
the state police barracks and show them that I had removed the tint.
What a bunch of b.s.

PA is really cracking down on the tint. It is almost impossible to
find an inspection station that will inspect your car with tint. The
guy who does my vehicle used to tell me to pull in his garage with the
windows down and everything would be fine but in the past few years I
had to remove it for inspection because he said he could be fined for
inspecting the vehicle with the windows tinted, even if I pulled in
with the windows down. I plan on tinting my dak's windows in the near
future since inspection isn't due until feb.
