Well, it was a fun night Friday at Mission Raceway. We had 4 R/Ts and
5 R/T owners show up. Dan Bennet and his 98 DA CC, Jesse 99 FR RC,
David Montgomery 99 CC Blk, Jay Evans 98 CC Blk (in shop) and me. I
got there around 7:45 and the place was BUSY! Imports everywhere. I
didn't get to make my first run until 9:30 or so. Dan was there early
and got in a few runs at least. He was doing 15.0s, Jesse was 15.30s.
David didn't run. It was a huge help having Dan there, as he gave me
tips on what to do and where to go for tech., had an air guage, even a
99 service manual. Very helpful! I didn't get a chance to stay for
eliminations, so I only got 1 run in, my first ever. Didn't too bad
for myself, either. Here's the timeslip info:

Conditions were clear and about 65F. Engine was luke warm, no spare,

down, light burnout
If I can hack that 60' down to where Jesse and Dan have it (around
2.1), I'll be in 15.10 range, baby!! Not too shabby for a mostly stock
CC! I'm happy. It only gets better from here.
It was great to meet everyone and I hope to do it again soon. David
knows of some R/T guys that like to meet, so I'll be in on that. Maybe
we can even start an R/T club. Thanks to all who came.
