overhead console temp readings off?

Has anyone here who has the overhead console with temp readout noticed that
the reading always seems about 5 degrees higher than the actual temp
outside? I can see some skewing due to road heat from other vehicles and
engine heat from the truck but I would think DC would have accounted for
that??
