Personally, I'm not sure about the mileage performance of the 4.7....I
haven't heard much one way or the other about that. Honestly though, I've
been happy with the mileage that I get out of my 5.2, and from what I've
seen and heard, the V6 doesn't get much better mileage at all. I normally
get anywhere between 18-22/mpg on the road, and because of my lead foot in
town I get about 14-15 city driving. Personally, I'd go for the V8.....be
it the 4.7 or the 5.2
I had the same situation as you.....I could not find a 5 speed anywhere
around here when I was buying and ended up going with an automatic. Other
than paying the extra thousand bucks for the automatic though, I've been
happy with it.
