Wanted to ask this yesterday when I was installing my new speakers, but no
DML access at home!
Can anyone clearly identify for me the positive & negative leads for the
standard factory stereo setup in our dakotas? ('95 Club Cab with factory
AM/FM/Cassette). I got my speakers installed, using the standard theory that
the 'marked' wire is the positive (ie: solid wire & striped wire, then the
striped wire is +). Unfortunately, the wires at each location are all
different colors/markings, and some of them both have stripes?!?!
I have all the speakers installed, but I want to go back and make sure I
don't have the polarity crossed.
Since there seems to be alot of audiophiles on the list, can anyone provide
some insight?
(oh yeah.. incase anyone cares, the speakers are Boston Acoustics RX67
(frnt) and CX8's (rear).
Thanks in advance...
