I wonder about the intake itself though, It gets super hot because it
gets hit from underneath with engine oil unless the lifter valley has a
tray seperating the 2.
What is a "phenolic" spacer?
I have tried a 3/4 aluminum spacer (Helix power bridge), it just takes
up underhood space and makes a "woosh" sound.
I've seen the large, flat heat shields that mount like a gasket and
shield radiant heat from the engine. Once again, the manifold would more
than compensate for any heat sheild.IMHO.
