You are not going to notice a difference either way. The isolated filter,
while better in theory, will not help much. I hear the Gen II is made of
plastic. While the Airaid is aluminum. Any type of system that draws air
from under the hood is going to get hot air, whether is has a tube, or
deflector or whatever.

Subject: DML: AiRaid vs. Gen II
I called autobahn, and they have the cheapest Gen II, but now they are on
serious back order. I was kind of leaning toward the Gen II because I like
the look, and the isolated filter. The sales person started pushing the
Airaid setup on me. He said that he would give me the same discount on the
airaid as the k&n (10%). airaid 140.00 vs. Gen II 204.00. Please, any
thougts on these two systems compared would be helpful in making a decision.
(or is this really going to make that big of a difference either way?)
Thanks in advance.
Gordon
