Well, now that I am finally over the whole battery incident, I am getting
some bad noise from my brakes. If I just tap the brakes, no matter how
hard, I get a high pitched squealing noise. When I press them a little
harder, the truck starts to shudder. When I press them all the way down to
a complete stop, I get this horrible grinding noise that sounds like metal
on metal. It is really embarassing pulling up to a stop light. Could my
brakes be going bad already at 27,700K? I can feel the grinding through the
brake pedal! I'm gonna take the truck in the dealer on Tuesday (Yeah, I
know the brakes aren't covered under warranty anymore, but maybe they can
tell me what I need to do about them) and I'm also gonna have them check the
Check Engine Light that comes on once a week and a mysterious leak under the
hood. I really hope I don't need new brakes, because I am really low on
cash!
