But you can't tip or submerge the standard "4x4" Lead/Acid batteries like
you can with the Optima. There's also always the chance of a Lead/Acid
battery exploding due to gasses...this doesn't happen with an Optima since
that are 100% sealed. (And they're under $80.00 if you look for them.)

If you want, go with the Optima, if you want to save $100, go with what I
have. I run a Champion "4x4" battery. This battery have 2 top posts and 2
side posts, same as the Optima. Also, my battery is 1050 cranking amps at
temps 35 degrees and warmer and provides 900 cold cranking amps at temps
upto
-20. Same exact features as the Optima.
