To tell you the truth...it looks like the K&N would perform better than any
other one out there...It has the heat shield to kinda direct the cold air to
the right place, it replaces the restrictive factory air hat and has more
surface area than factory. I would think if you don't isolate the cold air
coming into the engine compartment the turbulence from the cooling fan would
not give it a constant flow of air as well as mix allot of hot air in there.
Just my opinion.....
