RE: F&B TB pics???

This is a good reminder of the extra length that Frank & Bruce have, and are
going through for all of us. I do appreciate all the time and effort being
put into what will be the final product. I'm sure it is many more hours
than one realizes. (Although it is easy to get a little excited and start
asking questions when someone mentions getting a TB.) :'B We definetly do
not want to take the enjoyment out of their fun. Patience truely is a
virtue.

PS. Hey Duff, Why do you need a flame suit for this one? (Maybe a little
squirt gun. he-he-he) I thought it was a good "get your feet back on the
ground and settle down" kinda statement.

All,

O.K., I've climbed into my flame proof suit before hitting the keyboard, so
here goes. The following quote is from an e-mail Bruce sent on 16 Nov
1999...
" We are not a "profit" organization in the true sense. We are trying to
cover our costs for making TBs for the DML only! These are not publicly sold
(nor would I want to, I've got a full time day job and so does Frank).. "

I think folks need to cut a little slack here and think about what they are
getting, for the incredibly low return that Frank & Bruce are asking for.
They did not start into this as a commercial enterprise. This was done as a
fun project between two guys on the DML that thought it would be a good
project to play with, period. In the past year the DML has grown, and a lot
of folks have heard about the F&B TB deal and joined in.
Read Frank's most recent posting. These are bench flowed, dyno'd TB's with
alot of R&D and sweat equity put into the final product. And you get it for
$90 bucks.

If you want your TB's tomorrow, then maybe you should go to someone who does
this as their full time job - or do it yourself. (As far as I know, Bruce &
Frank still have 'real' jobs outside of developing/modifying TB's).
Personally, I think it is a great service they are providing to all the
DML'ers who don't have access to CNC equipment, flow benches, dyno's and the
knowledge required to put it all together into a quality finished product.

I hope everyone gets their TB's soon, but harping at these guys won't make
it go faster. Heck, I'd like to see them get back to the list as regular
participants so we can all benefit from their DAK and performance knowledge.

Soapbox away, flame suit zipped!
