I am convinced that a ported and polished TB (whether from F & B, R&D Perf,
Jules, or home-made) will improve airflow and HP at full throttle. What I do
not know is whether the same modifications will improve part-throttle torque.
I am particularly interested in towing power, as I put a lot of miles on
towing a big-block jetboat around the midwest. I'd like to have more
mid-range punch to help get over some of the hills without ruining my mileage.
Does anyone have dyno test #'s to show that there will be an improvement in
low and mid range torque with the installation of a modified TB?
