O.K. Tom...you talked me into it. ;-) I am going to change my tranny fluid
myself. I guess 30k miles is about time to do it. As I understand it is a
simple as:
1. Drop the pan
2. clean up the mess
3. clean pan
4. remove old tranny filter
5. install new filter
6. replace pan (with drain plug installed)
7. fill up the fluid

So, my shopping list would be:
1. new filter (part #?)
2. fluid (how much?)
3. new gasket
4. drain plug

I have heard several people mention "tightening the bands"? Is this
something that needs to be done and if so...how? If I have missed anything,
or there are any more pointers out there, please let me know. Thanks again
for the help.
