My 3.90's are going on a trip around the DML. ;)

You can't install 4.56's without changing the carrier. You're looking at
around $800 for gears and carrier...that's without any installation
charges...or beer and BBQ in your case. Just be VERY careful with the
3.55's up front. With the 4.10's, there's too much of a difference in
ratios for the transfer case and something WILL break is you use 4WD. (All
you have to do is lift a tire and SNAP!....there's goes the drive-train.

Subject: DML: going from 3.90 to 4.10 gears

    I have the 31" Bridgestone Dueler H/T's and I think i'm going to 4.10
rear gears, so the 3.90's are for sale. Still have 3.55 in the front but
this
truck has gotten serious since the SC install so I'll deal with that come
winter....
Bernd, and everyone else, what do you think. I don't think I want to
pull
4.56's.
            Thanks, Ted O.
