With all the conversation a couple of weeks ago about the aerodynamics of
our trucks, last night I had an interesting spank. A pair of 4duh vans! Yup
2 Econoline 350 vans. The local Hotels use them for shuttling folks to and
from Newark Airport. Nice paint job, and several bench seats. Well anyways
these two (from rival Hotels)were going at it on US1, and come up to where I
was stopped for a traffic light. Well they're racing their engines, and
yelling back and forth, chirping the tires. So I decided this is too good to
pass up, so I do a quickie brake stand to get their attention. The one
closest to me flips me off. Well the light changes and we take off. The only
time they had me was off the line, because I didn't want to dump the clutch
and spin my tire, but once I got rolling and finally hit 3rd(at around the
1/8mi mark) I had one nipping at my bumper and the other was dropping back
big time. After I got 2 truck lengths ahead, I pulled into his lane gave him
the "arm out the window/middle finger extended mod", hit 5th and was
gone.... Not bad for a 6'er eh?
