<< Last week I received my Quick D TB and intake for my 97 CC V6 auto. Took
about 45 min. to make the swap. I already had a FABM on so changing the
intake was only a matter of a couple of minutes. My only difficulty with
the TB was removing the middle of the three cables. The instructions
stated that all three mounting points were attached using "C" clips. It
took a while but then I realized the middle one is, in fact, a snap on
and needed to be pried off. After that it was a breeze. Also, I
disconnected the battery prior to the removal of the TB. Just a habit I
have anytime I'm doing something involving electrical connections. Prior
to this upgrade I had done a "few" other mods: Lowered 2" and 4" Western
Chassis, MSD 6A, Magnecor wires, Champion plugs at .050, Accel Super
Coil, 180 degree stat, Rhino Performance muffler, and a Jet Stage II.
All that made a rather nice improvement. But with the new TB and intake
I noticed an even more increased throttle response and pickup. It has
become a little harder for this "old" man, grandpa for the fourth time
yesterday and I'm "only" 52, to keep the old foot out of it though. <g>
I've put about 300 miles on it since the swap and even with a few WOT
runs on some back roads mileage didn't suffer too much. I'll find out
about highway mileage this weekend when I go see my new granddaughter in
Detroit. All in all I'd say this was a good investment for what I
wanted. The workmanship on the TB was, IMHO, superb. I'd say Tony has
done one heck of a job with this... Thanks Tony.

Well now, sounds like you drive one bad Dakota!!!! Tell me more about that
Rhino Muffler. How does it sound on your V6?? Price? Where did you buy it
from? Is it baffled or packed? I am in the market for a new muffler, and I am
just trying to exhaust(cough cough) all my options. Thanks.
